Medical Billing Pay

The Bureau of Labor Statistics states that the growth outlook for medical billing work looks great and the pay for medical billing and coding work looks just as promising. Although they can not give exact numbers they site new clinics and medical facilities as being part of the reason. Part of the reason is that current professionals in the medical billing and coding industry, with years of experience, are now retiring. Now is the perfect time to seek medical billing work. But what about the pay? The pay for medical billing work, including, insurance coders, medical transcriptionists, etc. is above average, See below for exact numbers on pay and related links.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average pay for medical billing work is $31,290 per year, or $15.04 per hour. The low end starts at $20,850, and the high end pay is $51,510. That amounts to $51,000 a year! As you can see, medical billing and billing is lucrative indeed. They break the average pay rates down even further by industry.
